FAQ and HINTS for TOUGH PLACES ( EVERYONE SHOULD READ POINT 1-8 !!! BEFORE PLAY )

1. I don't see anything, game is too dark :(

Uhm. I designed all levels for BRIGHTNESS LEVEL FOUR !!! And you should play it on this level, and also in dark room. As dark as you can. No sun allowed. You can try even smaller brightness levels but that's for really tough guys and in TOTAL dark room. But I tell you again, USE BRIGHTNESS LEVEL FOUR, START WITH IT !!! Really, even if you play inside egyptian pyramid :D

2. Can I play on GL under Jonof's Port ?

You can. But it sucks. Whole game will be TOO BRIGHT, and look ugly, not as I wanted. You can use Rancidmeat and Jonof but not OpenGL - stick with classic mode.

3. I am blocked, game crashed :/

Uh. I made many purple, blocking walls. Don't push too much over, do not try to pass, for example in Atmosphere Processor do not try jump over some boxes and shit cause you may be blocked or even cause a serious crash ;) Just don't do it :P

4. Why when I pick up Pulse Rifle I cannot see anything ?

Because Pulse Rifle is replacement for Expander. So hit 7 again or change your weapon and next time you will see Pulse Rifle forever :P

5. Why when I use Smartgun some strange shit is used ?

Because Smartgun was coded that way :P So if you are using Smartgun, it could be hard to browse your Inventory while shooting. But U can always hit N or M for two most important items in Inventory: Medkit and Night Vision. I know it's stupid but we couldn't code it better :/

6. What is that Red Predator which I saw on Orbital, Nostromo etc etc.

It is Chief of Predators. You will meet him in every level ( try to find him on Nostromo ). 

7. AVP TC is too easy/too hard :(

Too easy ? Ok. So try to not use Night Vision. I put Night Vision in each level but it doesn't mean you have to shoot Aliens before they spot you ( this comment is especially to Rusty Nails ).
Too hard ? Walk carefully. Choose weapons wiselly, save ammo. Look for medkits. Save quite often. if you are in new room, wait to see what happens. Do not rush.

8. Does AVP TC have DM and COOP ?

It has coop, but it is not tested, and it is only for 5 PLAYERS !!!
I included one :( DM map, called Batcave.

9. How do I find secret level Nostromo ?

It is easy, card is on Predator Ship. Then hit button, and go to Hangar One Door.

10. How do I kill Alien Guard on Nostromo, I have no weapon ?

I know you have no weapon :P Try to open door where Alien Guard is and run to the place with C9 bottles. Hit right button to catch Alien between forcefields. Then hit BLOW button. Funny eh ?

11. Uhm. On Nostromo I saw strange shit running in front of me :/

It is not shit :) As U saw, on Nostromo you can see Alien but you cannot kill him. In the round place with ladder, turn left. You will see white corridor. Walk on it, and you will see Alien running fastly. Cool idea eh ?

12. In Colony level I am in small Hive. I stuck :(

You better search for 4 buttons on pillars. They are not so hard to see.

13. Where to find Pulse Rifle ?

After you entered main Colony Complex, turn left, and go there :P

14. Operations looks cool :)

15. What is that strange Robo Alien I fight at the end of Colony ?

It is Predalien :P You will meet him also in Waterfall.

16. Where to find Smartgun ?

In Alien Ship in Atmosphere Processor level. Go where Space Jockey room is and turn Night Vision on. The gun isn't in Space Jockey room but very very near :P

17. How do I get inside Atmosphere Processor ?

Via vents :P

18. Damn Sentry Guns killed me :/

Uh ok :P Open the door and shoot ( Pulse Rifle ). Shoot as long as it blows. It is easy :P

19. Hive is hard :(

What did you expect ? You should have Smartgun :P

20. Where is the end of Atmosphere Processor level ?

Come closer to the Marine :)

21. Where is red card in Waterfall level ?

In the Bathroom, under hanged body.

22. What is that HUUGE explosion and how to survive it ?

As you enter Hangar with Predator Ship, run fast where dead Marine with blue card is. Get the card, and move your ass back to the vent. You can hide in the small vent with two locked doors. It is safe place, I tell you as an author :)

23. I saw green footprints on the floor :/

Yeah. Some wounded Predator came here :)

24. What the hell is that Church ?

It is Chapel. Chapel was also in Alien Resurrection movie so stop whinning :P And you can find Minigun here.

25. Facehugger jumped on my face and I cannot move :(

Yeah. You died man. Game over man, game over :) Even you have 200 % health ( if you found Adrenaline Bursts ) you will die. But it is nice to see Facehugger on your face isn't it ?

26. I was in the vent with huge fan and I died :(

Yeah. But remember this place !

27. I found Bazooka. What for ? Why is it so weak ?

Uh. In the huge waterfall area you can see door with crack on it. Use your Bazooka there, and shut down cooling system. Now the vent with huge fan is accessible :) Why Bazooka is weak ? Cause you will use it on enemies, which is unfair :P

28. I saw some sprites which were melted into the wall in Waterfall :/

Yeah. It is a bug in Duke. Duke doesn't like hard slopped locations, so it may be weird, little weird. It doesn't affect gameplay so it is ok :)

29. I felt down in Huge Waterfall area to check what's on the bottom :)

And what you saw ? Ducks :) I like animals so you can meet crow at the begining of the level :) And wild pig in Build :)

30. What is that Alien stone at the begining ?

It is strange stone. From some temple. Weyland Yutani found it somewhere.

31. Why AVP TC is so brutal :( ?

Because Aliens are brutal :)

32. Wow it is cool in the chopper :)

Yeah. You can finally jump down. You listen Little Richard too much :P

33. Damn. This invisible Predator is hard. 

Yes it is :) But you don't have to kill him = loser :D 

34. Is that Predator flying ?

No he climbs on trees. 

35. Why I heard some explosions in the jungle ? Like War Ambience.

Cause Army try to fight with Aliens. The situation is critical you know. So they use some bombs probably ...

Bats are usually in caves.

40. What a strange Hive ? Are you sick ?

No I am not. This Hive is like in the Aliens Labirynth comic. Those cans with slime is the cure for Aliens. Really. You should be happy I made different hive in last level :)

41. I saw Red Predator tried to kill Queen with improved Plasma Cannon but when he spotted me, he wanted to kill me :)

Yeah, it looks cool eh ? When he change his aim :)

42. The end of the level is hard. Two Praetorians + Predator + Queen.

Yes it is :) Save your ammo, don't be Rambo.

43. What is that Bonus in main menu ? 

It is another secret level, converted from Alien Doom.

44. Where to get Power Loader ?

In bonus level. Just find Power Loader and run through it :P

45. I killed Predator and he dropped ammo :/

Yeah. I was too lazy to delete it from cons. Imagine this ammo is a trophy which Predator collected :P

46. Where can I find Adrenaline Bursts ?

In huge Waterfall Area in Waterfall and in Caverns - you will see it :)

47. Why Atmosphere Processor is so small ?

Because I didn't have enough grid space in Build :(

48. Where to find Smartgun in Bonus level ?

You know, in this level you have to seal off the medlabs. But just in the room after Facehugger Lab turn left and at the end of this corridor Smartgun is located. Get it quickly and close the door !

49. Haha I cheated you LAW. I saw Predator first in Atmosphere Procesoor level :P I jumped so hard near boxes and he spotted me. So there was no surprise :D

Ok. You smartass. Ok you win this time. I firstable built this level then I realised player can cheat :(

50. I typed DNKROZZ and turned Jetpack on ...

Yeah. I wanted to make fun. You can imagine you are Predator now :D

51.Where I can meet brown Dog Alien Runner ?

Two in hive in Atmosphere Processor :P
