====================================================================== To play, unzip to your JFDuke folder and execute the Duketrny.bat file. ====================================================================== DUKE TOURNAMENT TC -MULTIPLAYER ADD-ON FOR V1.4 AND 1.5 +SINGLE PLAYER EPISODE http://www.dukeworld.com/duketournament/ http://www.planetduke.com/msdn/ Note: +++++ Levels for Duke Tournament's single player episode ( annihilation ) were made last summer ( 1999 ) so they are now one year old and they are not as good as my current maps. For better maps made by me, head on to MSDN ( http://www.planetduke.com/msdn/ ) and download whole "Mssp" map serie. Dukematch maps are all only for dukematch. If you want, you can walk around them with single player mode. Just select episode 2. Duke Tournamentt includes: +++++++++++++++++++ -8 Dukematch levels ( seven made by me and one by Dean Lillie ) -5 Single player levels ( all made by me. I had to remove Dean's sp level because it was too slow and didn't fit in story ) -This readme file -New textures ( From Quake2, Doom, SW, Rott and off course some made by me and George W. Bernard ) -Bat files to launch SP or DM games ( for each DM level and for SP episode ) -New User and Game.con ( You don't have to backup older cons because names are different ) -Many new sound effects from famous games ( shotgun's sound for example ) -New midis ( only two ) -Few modified enemies ( same art as before but now more minibosses and else ) -Two new weapons and two from other Duke releases Copyright: ++++++++++ Sounds from Half-Life are property of Valve. Textures and sounds from Quake are property of ID-software. Textures from SW are property of 3Drealms. Other arts are property of me and if you want to use them in your own projects then contact me first. How to install Demo-test: +++++++++++++++++++++++++ Unzip all files to your Duke V1.4 or 1.5 directory. How to use: +++++++++++ To launch single player episode, go to your Duke directory and click "Annihilation.bat" ( or write it in dos mode ) to start sp episode. Then in menu screen, choose episode "annihilation". If window appears and asks something about dos mode then select no and get back to game. To launch dukematch games with bots, select DTDM1.bat-DTDM8.bat. These bat files directly launches Duke Tournament with some bots and with DT map ( example if you choose DTDM1.bat then you got yourself DTDM1.map to play ) If you want to change bots skills and number, open example "DTDM1.bat" file ( right click it, choose modify, replace /s1 example with /s3. then save it as "DTDM1.bat" ). If you want to look around DM levels with no bots then lauch Duke with "annihilation.bat" and select episode 2. If you wanna modify number of bots change /q5 to example /q7. History: ++++++++ Well if you wanna here a story then here you go. About a year ago, back to summer 1999, I decided to make a TC which would include three new episodes for Duke Nukem. It was named "Alien War" and I started building maps for it. Before I moved my sites to Dukeworld, I changed project from Alien War to "Millennium". Millennium should have included two single player episodes and more but anyway I was too lazy to do so much levels even I had team members now. Then after some time with Millennium I decided to change project into a dukematch add-on because I was eager to see and play Quake3Arena that time ( before christmas ). So I was thinking about changing project again and then I started making Dukematch levels for this add-on TC. Also Dean Lillie ( team member ) sent me his dukematch map ( Latisha ). So I changed name and project into "Duke Tournament" which it is now. First release was Duke Tournament- demo-test and it was released back in February. For now, DT includes eight dukematch levels and single- player episode from Millennium and Alien War ( one episode which was a part of both of them ). Sadly I had to remove one of Dean's sp map because it didn't fit in storyline and it was too slow map ( much of special effects with colours ). Now we are in this point that we finally released the TC. I'm proud of it because there are lots of TCs which haven't never been released even after years of work and I did kept going with this and released it on time:) Levels: +++++++ Single player: AN1=Underground way part1: Underground base which was created to hide from aliens, is now under aliens attack. AN2=Underground way part2: You got yourself out from the base. Now it is time to get yourself to the surface. AN3=The New Dawn: Duke finally gets himself out from underground. He finds ruined city, overrun by aliens. AN4=Poison Green Water: This is near the place of first alien attack. It is a toxic dump facility with caves and poison water. AN5=Dead Memory: You have done all you could. In these rocky mountains and caves, your mission is to find alien boss and to destroy him and whole alien population. Dukematch: DTDM1=Yards: Your first encounter with kick ass deathmatch experience. First DTDM level includes outdoor areas, bases and lot more. DTDM2=Jailbreak: In this level, there are many cell blocks with players stucked in them. Also automatic rocket launchers are dangerous. DTDM3=Tournament gate: Amazing grey level with medieval theme and Q3A inspiration. DTDM4=Halls of mystery: First one-to-one level which was inspired by Q3A. Very simply map. DTDM5=Hi-tech assault: More Q3A inspiration with good sprite work and action. DTDM6=Overlord's port: Second one-to-one map inspired by Q3A. DTDM7=Tournament towers: This level was included in DT demo-test. It has many different high levels and good design. DTDM8=Latisha canyon: Dean's map which is located in high canyons.
