Contact us. =================== 1. Running the game. MS-DOS: First run "Esetmn.exe" to configure your soundcard. Then type "Grosse" in the "Wolfenstein Grosse"'s folder to launch the game, this will open the "Grosse.bat" file. WIN32: Open up the Grosse.exe and choose "Run setup" to configure your soundcard. Then choose "Start Grosse" to start playing "Wolfenstein Grosse" =================== 2. Weapons. 1. Knife This weapon your only hope when you run out of bullets, but it's no use against big groups of nazis. 2. Walther P38 (pistol) This is quite a powerful gun, mostly you can kill the enemies with one shot. The bad side is that the range is low, you shouldn't try to snipe with this weapon. Clip size: 8 3. Mp44 (assault rifle) Very powerful assault rifle against nazi officers, since they don't have much armor. You'll find this weapon as the most used one. Clip size: 30 4. Mg42 (light machine gun) Good in long ranges, and it cuts them like grass. Clip size: 75 5. Mp40 (sub-machine gun) Another fine SMG. Clip size: 30 6. Stielhandgranate 24 (grenade) Just throw one of these behind the corner and you'll probably get many dead bodies. 7. Kar 98 (rifle) & Panzerfaust (light anti-tank weapon) Kar 98 is an ordinary rifle. Panzerfaust, as you can quess, is an anti-tank weapon to shoot out those nasty tanks. Clip size (Kar 98): 5 8. Dual Walther P38 (pistols) Yep, the Walthers as akimbo. Clip size: 12 9. Dynamite (explosives) Stick them into walls and hope that you timed it right when a nazi walks nearby. 0. Panzershcrek (heavy anti-tank weapon) Just like Panzerfaust, but bit more dangerous. =================== 3. Known bugs. * Few of the automatic weapons makes enemies "fly" around when you kill them. * The "* Enemy killed" and "* Enemies left" counters doesn't show the real counts, so don't be amazed if there reads something like "-31261 Enemies killed". =================== 4. FAQ/A Q: Why my screen goes black when there's explosion near me. A: The explosion's flash blinds the player for few secs. Q: Why my game crashes and says "too many sprites spawned". A: It happens when Duke Nukem 3D spawns more sprites that it can handle. We have tested the game and found no TMSS errors, but if you get one, please mail to us and we'll fix it to the next version. Q: The game's too hard, I get killed right away when I see the enemy. A: We made the game realistic, you wouldn't survive from a machine gun shooting IRL either. Just try to play at the easiest skill level. NOTE: The game is NOT impossible, all of us have finished it without cheating. Q: In some maps (E2L1 for example) my computer runs very slow, any way to fix it? A: In E2L1 there's much bombing. And each of the explosions spawns few sprites so your computer goes pretty high on that map. The only way to fix it is to buy faster computer, or try to play at the lowest screen resolution. Q: I got stuck in one level, I dropped into a hole or something and can't get up, what did I do wrong. A: Well you can't get up from certain places, think it as reality. TIP: Save often and so you don't have to worry about those damn holes. Q: Why I get "Run-time error '53': File not found" message when I click "Start Grosse" in the launcher? A: You probably have tried to run "Wolfenstein Grosse" in 1.3/1.4/1.5 version of Duke Nukem 3D. "Wolfenstein Grosse" is designed for Eduke 2.0 Only. Or you might have somehow deleted some of the Eduke system files, try to reinstall "Wolfenstein Grosse".
