If there is a switch around a screen. Make sure to look at screen after you flip switch, as you may see a door open, a ramp move, etc. A lot of times, there's only one way in, not too many false leads. Areas open up as you go through. Remember too, that E1L1 was my very first attempt, and maps get better as you go. I didn't even properly use the Cycle sprite until map 5 or so. Thanks for your interest. Filename : E1L2.map Level Name : Roller Description : A true test of Build capacity, used 80% sector capacity, and about 70% line capacity. Very large level, over 30 camera positions, conveyor belts, subways,etc. As a former Army Officer, I laid out the control complex like a real BN HQ. Filename : E1L3.map Level Name : CITY Description : A maximum test of Build capacity, used 99.99% sector capacity, and about 85% line capacity. Very large level, 25 camera positions, Lots of buildings and long play. Immense detail, approx. 1.500 non-monster sprites. Church has no monsters, just help..just appreciate scenery, and then pay your dues in the cemetery. Filename : E1L4.map Level Name : LAUNCH Description : Take air tram to subway to massive launch pad, through control rooms and sniper positions, ready room and board rocket. Filename : E1L5.map Level Name : Delta7 Description : Leave Launch rocket to space station. Blow main reactor & escape. Filename : E1L6.map Level Name : Space Transport Description : Leave Delta 7 as it continues to blow, get off before you're blown to bits, create chaos on Space Transport 22 find the escape pod that will take you to Lunar Base Echo, the final map of Episode 1. Filename : E1L7.map Level Name : Lunar Base Echo Description : Duke escaped ST22 in the emergency escape pod, and has landed on Lunar Base Echo. He must find his way to the main power plant and stop the turbine and destroy the Boss. ======================================================================== Episode Two Filename : E2L1.map Level Name : Mansion Description : Duke made it back to earth from Episode 1. He now finds himself in a graveyard, in front of an old mansion. A storm is raging. Duke must enter the mansion, find the secret lab where dead aliens are revived, and get out. Be careful, the place is haunted. Filename : E2L2.map Level Name : Temple Description : Duke has left the Mansion and has found the great temple of the alien force. Duke must find his way beneath the altar of sacrifice, and find the switch to destroy the the temple, and demoralize the invading aliens. Filename : E2L3.map Level Name : Temple Description : Duke has destroyed the Temple, and now must wipe out the alien occupation of Turbine, a generating plant. It's important for Duke to back track, and see the destruction of Temple. Filename : E2L4.map Level Name : Boot1 Description : Duke exits turbine down the water slide. He hits bottom ans surfaces at the main gate of Camp Boot. He must fight his way to the Garrison gate in order to enter the North part of Camp Boot in Boot2. Filename : E2L5.map Level Name : Boot2 Description : Duke found the Garrison gate in Boot1, and now explores the north end of Camp Boot, home of the alien Big Red One. Here, he finds the Class III POL yard the Post Chapel, Post Gym and Duke Army Hospital. His job is to kill the Mascot and exit through the tunnel to Bootcity. Filename : E2L6.map Level Name : Bootcity Description : After fighting his way through 2 levels of Camp Boot, Duke takes on the civilian community of Bootcity. Here he finds everything an army town needs: a funeral home, laundr-o-mat, bank, video store hot night club and a brewery. He also finds more vehicles: a cop car, ambulance, jeep, tour bus, fire engine, chief's car and a beer truck. Filename : E2L7.map Level Name : Church Description : After his battle in the city, Duke seeks respit in a church. But, the bad guys have taken over. Duke must get thru the catacombs, then on to the roof. He finally gets to Stonehenge for the big show down. Filename : E2L8.map Level Name : Sub Description : The church has been cleared and the enemy vanquished at Stonehenge. Now Duke discovers a Sub base. He must board the Sub and fire 4 torpedoes to blast his way to freedom. The sub has four levels, 2 the length of the boat, and 2 in the command tower. It has a working periscope. Use it to watch your 'fish' hit the target. Filename : E2L9.map Level Name : Harmsway Description : One stray torpedo from Sub (E2L8.map) sunk a spy ship posing as a freighter. The ship is sinking and upside down. Duke must enter from the upper deck wheel house, and fight his way up to the bottom of the ship, get the blue key, and exit through the hull to the spa's on shore. Filename : E2L10.map Level Name : Spa Description : After escaping from Harmsway, Duke finds the Spa, where he makes his way through the pools, and coal pits, escapes via the coal convair belt, leaving the spa in ruin. Filename : E2L11.map Level Name : Rounder Description : After destroying the spa, Duke makes the rounds to meet Boss2. Episode Two ends after victory. ======================================================================== Episode Three Filename : E3L1.map Level Name : Portal Description : After defeating Boss2, Duke enters the cave it was guarding, to discover an old warehouse. Its a thinly disguised entrance to the space agency, that will teleport him back into space. Filename : E3L2.map Level Name : Tiberius Description : From Portal (E3L1) Duke boarded Tiberius. He must search the station for the reactor, then activate a Slider portal, which will Slide him into another dimension. Filename : E3L3.map Level Name : Slider Description : Duke found a 'slider' portal, and was transported back in time to a dungeon of torture used by the Spanish Inquisition. He must find his way out, to the next slide. Filename : E3L4.map Level Name : Slider 2 Description : Duke's first time portal slide took him to an old dungeon. In this slide through the portal, he finds himself along the route of a train, from a warehouse, to a plaza to the beer plant. The level was originally done to demonstrate multiple scenery for train. Filename : E3L5.map Level Name : Slider 3 Description : After cleaning up the town in Slider2, Duke slides for the third time, this time aboard a large space freighter. He must destroy the reactor core, and find his next slide. Filename : E3L6.map Level Name : Slider 4 Description : Duke leaves the space freighter in Slider3, to find a castle. He must cross the moat and sneak through the hedge maze to find his next slide. Filename : E3L7.map Level Name : Slider 5 Author : Steve W. Filename : E3L9.map Level Name : Slider 7 Description : Duke's warped to an oil refinery. Its dark at the start, but turn on the juice! All areas you need to reach can be achieved without the jetpack. If, however, you fall off the tower after throwing the power switch, you're dead. Filename : E3L10.map Level Name : Slider 8 Description : Duke has slid to a mine facility. He needs to get out without getting the shaft.
