=========================================================================== ADD-ON LEVEL FOR DUKE NUKEM 3-D. To use this or other add-on levels, copy it to your Duke 3-d directory, and at the dos prompt type: C:\duke3d\duke3d.exe -map .map =========================================================================== Title : Betrayal Date Finished : Nov. 24, 1996 - last bugs found/fixed Feb. 17, '97 Filename : Betrayal.map Author : Bruce Sparhawk E-mail : bsparhawk@mindspring.com Web Page : none Misc. Author info : Getting older now, I stay in shape by kicking computer butt and drinking all the coffee I can hold. Description : Single-player or Co-op level. Not the usual fare... Enjoy! The Setting : Duke has uncovered NASA's terrible hoax: Tax dollars supposedly going into space research, shuttle development, etc., are instead funding alien settlement of our moon! Aliens have provided our scien- tists with teleporters but not the tech- nology to reproduce them. This, they promise will come... My levels : Bfire.map, BlueSky.map, Tunnel.map, Revenge.map, Btrayl2.map (DM version of Betrayal.map), Chupa.map, TheStorm.map, October.map Additional Credits to : 3-d Realms for a great game and thanks to Brett Gmoser, Klaus Breuer, Steffen Itterheim, & all who either wrote FAQ's or contributed info to those who did. You've provided me with untold hrs of sleepless bliss! Notes: This level incorporates a couple of things I haven't seen before in user maps, only the commercial game. One in particular, you aren't supposed to be able to do (!), according to all the FAQ's. If you want to know more, get "The Official Build FAQ v.09", written by Steffen "Duke Addict" Itterheim. He's included tips and in-depth help from many writers. At the end game you'll find a particularly nasty Boss to kill - he's actually the one from episode 2. For those without the hair to take this sucker out, there's a NukeButton provided... nobody will see. =========================================================================== * Play Information * Episode and Level # : ??? Please respect the author's time and efforts in attempting to create this map. If you like, study it and tear it apart to see how it was all done, but make your own levels, okay? It's often frustrating, but by now there are some really good FAQ files free to download for your instruction. You MAY distribute this map, provided that you include this text file with no modifications. You may further include it in any electronic format (BBS, Diskette, CD, etc.) as long as you include this text file intact. This is intended to remain in the public domain, so any claim of copyright is total balderdash. =========================================================================== * Where to get this MAP file * You apparently have it!
