===================================================================== TITLE: assault FILE NAME: assault.map AUTHOR: Shogun (my real name is my buisness) E MAIL ADDRESS: shogun@castles.com MISC AUTHOR INFO: A combat Engineer in the military, who wishes he was back overseas, and has way too much time on his hands latley. DESCRIPTION: The objective of this level is simple. Take the Hill. Ok what you have here is a bunker on a hill. This bunker is well fortified. Outside you have several fighting positions as well as a tank. The fighting postions are made in such a way as to provide maximum cover, while still being able to return fire. Once you play it, you know what i mean. In this level, you have working feild artillery, as well as a semi-functional tank. Two cannnons, and two mortors are on the hill. These are activated by the Command and Control center inside the hill. This level does okay, as a two player Dukematch, it ought to be an all out war with three or more players. It can be very difficult to get your buddy out of the bunker; because its consrtucted in such a way as to make maximum use of trip mines. Place them in the right places, you wont see them tell its too late, or you wont see them at all. Fighting can be fast and furious at times. Theres a little something for everybody on this level. ADDITIONAL CREDITS TO: Killjoy, and Raven for sparking me with ideas, helping out to get rid of small annoying bugs, and playtesting. ============================================================================= *PLAY INFO* EPISODE AND LEVEL: not applicable, just a user map. SINGLE PLAY: No, unless you want to look around. DUKEMATCH LEVEL: Yes DIFFUCLTY SETTINGS: Not implemented *CONSTUCTION* BASE: new level from scratch EDITORS USED: build.exe KNOWN BUGS: Theres no actual constuction bugs, however, when all of the cannons, mortors, and tank is active, it really slows down frame rate on 486 machines. Once you activate artillery, you cannot shut them down. If only two cannons are active, it should run fine on a 486 machine. No artillery, a 486 should be semi-liquid in frame rate.
