================================================================================ Title : CHIPS.MAP (Rev. 2) Author : Stephen D. Salazar E-mail : EGBDFFACE@GNN.COM Web Page : http://members.gnn.com/egbdfface/thesis/thesis.htm Description : This is my first user map, but don't let that scare you off. It's made for a two-player modem game and will allow up to 8 network players. It's colorful and dark, with every weapon, some twists and traps, and two hidden rooms. I used a reasonable resolution (I have a 486), so the frame rate should be smooth. You can modify this level, but DISTRIBUTE THIS VERSION ONLY. It took several weeks to create, and I scrutinized everything! Think electronics. I would appreciate some feedback! Additional Credits to : Brett Gmoser for helping me past the Build Docs hurdles and 3D Realms for finding a new way to deal with frustration!! Revision 2 (06/10/96) : Fixed several cosmetic problems. Revision 1 (06/08/96) : Added shotguns, holoduke, a water fountain, ambient sounds, and a secret sniper area. Cleaned up a few cosmetic problems. Created an original composition, which is in a VERY minor key. ;*) The easiest thing to do is copy the file as DETHTOLL.MID and put it in your DUKE3D directory. It sounds best on a Roland SCC-1, which IMO is the best ROM-based MIDI music card. I tested it, and things should work correctly. Enjoy the dark..........rack up the frags!
