Author Info : Computer Technician, Bookworm, Duke Junkie This is my first AND LAST Duke3d level, seeing as how Duke Nukem Forever is coming out soon... Description : Duke is called in to investigate the death of a small-time computer technician at the Komputer Wherehouse. The technician has mysteriously bled to death after assembling a computer, and the government thinks aliens are involved. Duke decides to break in at night, instead of getting the proper clearances, and feels the answer to the enigma is right before his eyes, but just can't put his finger on it. Are aliens selling razor-sharp computer parts to small computer stores as some kind of conspiracy? Suddenly, Duke sees an imposter pass by the window. Those alien maggots have sent a clone to ruin Duke's investigation! The adventure begins... Additional Credits to : ================================================================ 3DRealms, Matt Tagliaferri who wrote the Level Design handbook for making this stuff easy to learn, and anyone who helped playtest this thing. * Play Information * Episode and Level # : Huh? DukeMatch Level : Yes (Created for two Deathmatchers, but will support 8) CoOp Level : Yes (It can be done, but there is nothing to fight, as I said...) Difficulty Settings : Not implemented * Construction * Base : New level from scratch... OK, I might be basing it on a real-world model...=o) I took the tree textures from DUKE itself and from some art files someone emailed me. If this is your artwork, and you want me to get it the hell out of my level, let me know. Even if you don't want me to remove it, please let me know who created the art so I can give you credit in this file. I was going to have special music for the muzak but after hearing it a million times I got rid of it. Oh yeah! Feel free to use this level as a base for other levels just send me the results of your alteration...(talen@citynet.net) Editor(s) used : BUILD Known Bugs : Some of the doors aren't perfect (you can see into the next room through the cracks), weird "redness" seen on the starry horizon sometimes for some weird reason. The door leading into the tech area next to the stairs that lead "upstairs" will not open initially from the area next to the stairs. It only opens from the tech area, then works normally... can anyone tell me why??? I couldn't get the lights to work like I wanted, so I just didn't put them in at all. What I wanted to do was start out with the store's lights off, then have the player be able to shoot them out or turn them off or on, but it never worked. If anyone can tell me how to do this, let me know.
