================================================================ Title : DukeWest Filename : DUKEWEST.MAP Author : David Y. Cho Email Address : dysc@sprintmail.com Misc. Author Info : Look for "DysC" on Kali Description : Ahh, the old west! A ghost town full of all that makes a classic spagetti western! Stay at the "Deadwood Inn" for a good night's rest or go to the saloon for a drink. Short of cash, visit the local bank. Get too rowdy and you might stay a while in Jail. Even worse you might end up giving the Undertaker some business. Make sure you get your supplies at the General Store before you head out. Oh, and by the way, frontier law still includes a good old hanging... Enjoy Additional Credits to : Thanks to Victoria for putting up with me again, and for insisting that I include a sign post. Thanks also to Ray for his maps of the jail from the "Andy Williams Show", and also for his enthusiastic playtesting of my levels. Thanks to Gregzilla for his suggestions early on into the level, especially his insistence on a bank with a safe you can enter. Thanks to Russ and Chris for their incessant whining and criticism :) Thanks to Brad Wiernicke for posting my first Duke .MAP file ANCIENTS. ================================================================ * Play Information * Episode and Level # : N/A Single Player : Yes, but only for exploration. DukeMatch Level : Yes! Designed specifically for 2 to 4 players. Anything more gets a bit crowded though. Difficulty Settings : N/A Construction * Base : New level from scratch Editor(s) used : BUILD as supplied by 3DRealms Known Bugs : None, although I did discover a "bug" in the Build Engine itself - it involves pipe bombs... :) Also, the BUILD engine has limitations with sprites and clipping that occassionally show up but do not affect game play whatsoever. My apologies to 486 owners, the amount of detail and number of buildings in the level have been scaled back a great deal from early builds, however the game still takes a hit to the frame rate. A Pentium is highly recommended for play. Sorry about my long text files... Please write me with if you have any comments, suggestions, bugs, etc...
