================================================================ Title : Vanline Filename : vanline.map Author : David Bruzas Email Address : Dbruzas@worldnet.att.net Misc. Author Info : One time Doomer hooked on Duke3d Deathmatches Description : This is a medium sized Deathmatch-only level for 2-8 players set inside a wharehouse. ***This is the fixed version. I took a look at the ***map after I uploaded it to a few sites and found ***that for some unexplained reason some of my ***sprites had gotten moved (some were at different ***heights, some were on the floor insted of the ***ceiling.) If you have the original vanline.zip ***remove it and replace it with this fixed version. Additional Credits to : Beta testers Daryl Grimm Kenny Reinhardt ================================================================ * Play Information * Episode and Level # : E1L8 Single Player : No DukeMatch Level : Yes Difficulty Settings : Not implemented * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Editor(s) used : Build Build Time : Around 20 hours. My original level was a little more detailed, but it really bogged the framerate down in some areas. This is the streamlined version, but I think I will recommend a 486dx4-120 as the minimum, that is what I have and it can slow up sometimes on my rig. ***Has anyone had problems with sprites that have ***"moved" on them? I can't explain why this happened ***so I am guessing it is a bug in build. Known Bugs : The lights blink randomly after shot out doesn't always work. If anyone out there plays some 4-8 player deathmatchs on this level, PLEASE record a demo and send it to me! I have not been able to get more than a 3-player match going and I want to see this level in action. Other levels by author: Sgrotto.map, Mframe2.map, Mframe48.map, ReactDM.map * Copyright / Permissions * Authors may use this level as a base to build additional levels. I want to see them though, so you need to send me a copy when it is done (especially if you can fix that damn light bug.) You may distribute this file in any electronic format (BBS, Diskette, CD, etc) as long as you include this file intact.
