REVISION HISTORY AS OF March 17th, 1997 GraniteMan (knixon@cris.com) Note: Once in a while, dukecop wont turn off. This happens when different versions of dukecop are both turned ON at the same time. To fix this: delete game.con unzip game-con.zip to duke directory (included) this should fix, file size of game.con should be about 98k file size of dukecp25.con is about 107k Note: To run Duke Cop 2.5, just unzip into duke directory, and run dukecp25.bat both for turning it on and for turning it off. I recommend creating a shortcut to dukecp25.bat and putting it on your desktop, an icon is also included for you to use for this shortcut. **************** NEW IN 2.5 ************************************************************************ Note: 2.3 & 2.4 are about the same as 2.5. Removed art and sound files for now, so dukecop is very small zipped, under 500k. Full version will have new art and sounds (will be releasing a $10 version that you can play as many different characters). Added proximity mines (poop). Press space bar and crouch at the same time to create one. They use up health, and you cannot set one if your health is under 100. This limits them somewhat which is good, because 2.3 version they were everywhere! Changed devastator weapon to napalm launcher. Odds are high if you hit someone that they will burst into flame and burn to death. Made explosion after you die from being on fire stronger, so kamikaze at your opponent if you dont think you can make it to water. **************** NEW IN 2.2 ************************************************************************ ADDED GAME-CON.ZIP original game.con file, if for some reason you cant get Dukecop to turn off, delete the game.con file in your duke directory and replace with this original copy. RPG not as strong as original duke, but stronger than 2.1 PIPE BOMBS are very strong now, and you can only carry five at a time. FREEZER freezes more quickly, but for lesser time, and when you unfreeze your health is set to 125. So this can backfire by giving your enemy more health. So that you dont use this to freeze yourself, you cannot freeze yourself now. SHRINKER does not last as long so you can escape more often. Also harder to hit someone (I think). **************** NEW IN 2.1 ************************************************************************ INVISIPIG when you use steroids, you will be invisible to others, but can still shoot (like cloaked mode in Descent). Since this was a bit to unfair to others, you do make a chiming sound and emit an occasional flash of light so they have some idea where you are.
