Windows RTS Maker Ver. 1.0

Welcome to the easiest way to make RTS files for Duke Nukem 3D.  In order for this program to work you must first make sure that you have all the files that come with this zip file.

Files you should have.

WINRTSMK.EXE                                Windows program to make RTS files
WINRTS.BAT                	         .bat file used by Winrtsmk to run RTSMAKER
FILE_ID.DIZ		     	         Description of this program  (used mostly by a BBS)	
README.WRI		                     This file 

Next you will need to copy all files over to your directory,  C:\DUKE3D.  With this version no other directory will work. Then you will need to make sure that you also have a copy of RTSMAKER.EXE and have that in the same directory as well.  RTSMAKER is not distributed with Winrtsmk they are two separate program.  You should be able to find a copy of RTSMAKER from the same place that you got this program from.

How does WinRTS Maker work?

If you have a Registered version of Duke Nukem 3D you should already have a Copy of RTSMAKER.  This is the actual program that compiles your scrip file into an RTS file. 

WinRTS Maker works by writing your scrip files for you based on the files that you have dragged to your list, your selected files are then temporally copied to your Duke3D directory.  WinRTS will then run RTSMAKER to compile your RTS file for you.  Once completed all temporally files are removed and you are ready to try out you RTS file.  

(Note..)  None of your original files are deleted by this program, it will only temporally copy your original files to the Duke3D directory then remove the copy after your RTS file is made or you exit WinRTS.

Future version planes

Below is a list of "planes" for future versions however, not all will necessarily be in the next version, I can not make any guarantees as to what the next version will have or when the next version will be released.

A search button that will allow you to search your drive for all .wav and .voc files.
Allow you to hear .voc files.
Be able to move files around that are on your RTS file list.
Allow you to use files in your Duke3D directory.
A help menu
Do away for the need for the WinRTS.bat file
Add a setup menu that will allow you to change your duke game setting for:
	
        RTSName ............................What RTS file Duke3d will use when you start your next game.
        Phone Book.........................Add to your Duke3d phone book.
        CommbatMacro...................This would allow you to change your Commbat Macro as easy as 
                                                     making an RTS file.
