Enjoy! Tools Used : Quake Studio .7 Quake Texture Wrkshop (I'm writing it) Corel TEXTURE 6.0 (I wrote it :)) QBSP, et al. Additional Credits to : ID Software, ob. Dalias, for Quake Studio and TELEX (see below). ================================================================ This is our first custom texture WAD for Quake. The zip file includes a WAD file with 14 textures (listed below), a compiled BSP map (actually a hacked TELEX.MAP) demonstrating the mips in various lighting conditions, and the MAP source (for an example of how to use them). To quickly browse the textures in the WAD, start up the CZTEX1 map in Quake and walk around. Each texture is present on some floor, wall or object. The level is meant as a "walkthrough index"...but hey, frag away! Any Quake level editor should let you specify textures by name for brushes (I used QuakeStudio .7 to hack TELEX). The textures are named QTEX00 through QTEX13: NAME DESCRIPTION ----------- -------------------------------------------------- QTEX00 Brownish marble QTEX01 Dark, distressed wood QTEX02 Dark red (metallic?) square tiles QTEX03 Deep blue marble QTEX04 Crazy purplish marble QTEX05 Light blue stone QTEX06 Dark wood (cherry) QTEX07 Light wood (maple) QTEX08 Pale wood (balsa?) QTEX09 Green agate (wild) QTEX10 Light colored granite QTEX11 Blueish splotchy stone QTEX12 Wooden flooring QTEX13 Blue square tiles BUGS ---- All mips are 128x128, which is way too big. As soon as I fix the limitation in Texture Workshop, I'll make a version with smaller textures. Some of the textures get a little too grainy at small scale. I need to work on the dithering...
