================================ Duke Nukem Textures for Quake II ================================ Filename : Duketex1.zip Date : 5/9/98 Authors : Dan "ruiner" Amthauer & Stefan Escaida Description : This is a compilation of about 263 textures extracted and converted from Duke Nukem so you can use them for Quake II. We don´t like Duke much but the city-like textures were something Quake II was lacking, and so we decided these were the most appropriate ones and we converted them. Build Time : About 2 days ( I got school) Programs Used : Pcx2Wal by Iikka Keränen, Wally by Team BDP, and Photo Finish 3.0. Credits : Us, and of course Id Software for making such an excellent game like Quake II. =================== How to Install Shit =================== Simply decompress the .zip file to a subdirectory of your textures directory named dn3d (like this C:\Quake2\baseq2\textures\dn3d\) and use them in your levels. Some of these textures don´t look identical to the Duke ones cause of palette incompatibilities but we did what we could. ================================== Information about the Authors Shit ================================== We´re just two kids (16 and 13 years old respectively) who like a lot 3D games and have recently decided to edit them. Besides these textures we´re currently working on a Spawn TC for the same game. Help would be apreciated. We don´t have a home page yet so don´t try and look for our TC but you can contact me (Dan Amthauer) at ramthaue@uach.cl . I Haven´t tested these so if there´s anything wrong that you can´t fix e-mail me. See ya until we release something else:) ========== Legal Shit ========== -If these textures suddenly decide to finish off your system´s life or you just don´t like them we´re not responsable (though I doubt seriously the first thing will happen). -Duke Nukem (but not these textures cause we made almost all the work here) is a copyright of 3D Realms. -Quake II is a copyright of Id Software. -Let us remind you if you use our textures in a level, TC, PC, etc... you must give us credit for our incredible effort to bring to tou these textures.
