-[ Darkness CTF Level Pack ]- | Includes Destiny Awaits & Digital Apocaylpse Remix | "United We Stand, Divided We Fall...." -| Story |- - Destiny Awaits - You've been stationed to defend, your nerves are jittery. Even thou the alarm is triggered, you can't shake a feeling of doom that somehow surrounds you. Just as you go for the power armor, someone sneaks in the backdoor and swipes the flag, but you hear the door slide shut as you turn around, too late to stop him from leaving, but you still cannot let him escape from your sight! You persue relentlessly.... until you forget you had triggered your alarm, and run right into a deadly laser beam that instantly dissolves your body armor..... - Digital Apocaylpse Remix - Sweating, heart pounding, you pick up the shaft and the flag whips down into your face. You jump over the spewn about pillar, duck under laser fire, and run out the door. Suddenly you're outside, admiring the scenery.... until a man dressed in blue approaches. Suddenly it's a life and death struggle... guns blaze, muzzles flash, the flag drops.... you lie in a pool of your own blood, thinking... "Where the hell is my escourt?! Cmon Red!" -| Installation |- 1) First off, you must have Quake II 3.17 and Quake II CTF installed. (For example, c:\quake2\ctf) 3) Copy and paste this command line into your Run Box on the Start Menu and enjoy! (If you installed Quake II somewhere else, substitute it's location, I'm sure you're intelligent enough to know how to do that.) c:\quake2\quake2.exe +set game ctf +deathmatch 1 +timelimit 20 +map digital -| Play Information |- Single Player : Yes Cooperative : No Deathmatch : No Capture The Flag : Yes Recommended Players : 4 - 12 Difficulty Settings : No New Sounds : Yes [New sounds for menus, some weapons and items] New Graphics : Yes [New crosshairs, tech icons and frontend text] Notes: Almost six months of work results in only two levels. Why only two? Because I focus on speed and fun, making the map look and feel perfect before I release them. Hopefully you'll think so too. Both these levels are OpenGL and software friendly. These maps both loop to each other, so it doesn't matter which one you play first, you'll get to see them both. Now get in there and frag! -| Features |- * New console background * 2 brand new ID quality levels * 32 new sounds * New crosshairs * Evanglion player addon * Hours of CTF chaos -| Technical Information | - | Digital Apocaylpse |- Base : New level from scratch Editor used : Worldcraft 1.6 Build Time : Three months on and off Brushes: 1351 Entities: 510 -| Technical Information | - | Destiny Awaits |- Base : New level from scratch Editor used : Worldcraft 1.6 Build Time : Two months on and off Brushes: 1189 Entities: 542 -| Credits |- Digital Apocaylpse [digital.bsp] - Jamis Eichenauer Destiny Awaits [destiny.bsp] - Jamis Eichenauer iD Software, for making the best damn game on the planet.
