1. Make sure you have a folder called NFproxy in your Quake directory

2. Put your qwlaunch files in your Quake directory (not in a seperate folder) qwlaunch.exe and qwlaunch.ini

3. Open up gamespy and find GameSpy/Games and Filters/

4. Where it says QuakeWorld make sure it says:
- Command Line: qwlaunch.exe 
then click ok

5. Go to Tools/Options
Scroll down to Network/Quakeworld Client
and UNTICK the following:
Use Network Connections for Quakeworld

6. Open up Qwlaunch.exe
Click Setup
and I have the following setup:

VGA QuakeWorld Settings (if you don't have GL, use this)
1. VGA Exe: qwcl.exe 
2. EXE: qwcl221.exe
Add Command Line: +qw_vga -zone 512


GL QuakeWorld Settings (Normal play for people with GL cards)
1. GL Exe: glqwcl.exe 
2. Exe: glqwcl221.exe
Command: glqwcl.exe -heapsize 48000 -zone 1024 +gl_subdivide_size 1024 +gl_playermip 3 +gl_keeptjunctions 0 +gl_triplebuffer 1 +r_shadows 0 
(um....... thats what I have, but you might not use the same GL settings as me, but at least you know where to put yours) :)

Note on GL commands: if you're not sure what these do, I have all the meanings for them listed at the TF Anti-Cheat site: http://anticheat.cjb.net .. under Files / GL Settings. Tweak it! :)


Skins Settings:
Original: qw\skins\base_original.pcx
Base Skin1: qw\skins\base_white.pcx
Base Skin2: qw\skins\base_bright.pcx
TargetBase: qw\skins\base.pcx

Cheapo Proxy Settings:
Proxy: nfproxy.exe
Command: -q:  
ProxyIP: localhost
Commands for Proxy (i leave blank)
Auto Proxy (tick) AutoIP (tick)

Click OK


NOTE On -q: , this is quiet mode sometimes needed for people with GL cards, if you do not have GL card, try having "nothing" there first.. no, not the word nothing.. just leave it blank. :)

7. Now, when you use gamespy, it will auto open up QWLAUNCH.exe when you try to connect to a server. So you just click on GL Quakeworld Primary (GL Users only) and it will join the game using the proxy *** IMPORTANT *** Start the proxy up first by double clicking on it.. (nfproxy.exe) make a shortcut to your desktop or something - you must do this each time you start up gamespy!!)
