THE OFFICIAL DOOM MODEM LEAGUE FAQ ----------------------------------- 1. What is the purpose of the Doom Modem League [DML]? The DML is a service which will help you find a person to play Modem Doom with who is a local call. Basically, I have a list of all the members with their e-mail address, area code and city. About once a month, a list will be released with all of the information of DML members. You will be able to look for a member that is located close to you, and set up a game of DOOM with this person. If you can not afford to make long distance calls, or just have no one to play Modem Doom with, the DML is for you. 2. How do I join the DML? Joining the DML is simple. Just e-mail me an application. An applicaiton includes: a) e-mail address b) city c) area code 3. What is in the future of the DML? The DML plans to hold a DOOM tournament sometime in the near future, with players from all across the USA competing. Look for more details in the coming months. 4. What will I need to play Modem Doom? Three things will be needed to play Modem Doom. a) The game DOOM b) a 386 or greater c) a 9600 baud or higher modem If you are reading this message, you obviously have a and b. If you do not yet own a 9600+ modem, go out and buy one. 2400 and 1200 are almost obsolete, with 14.4 being standard.
