================================================================ Title : Nowhere Author : Andrew Gate (aka Xenos) E-mail Address : agate@usa.net ICQ : 4512356 Description : A set of 9 deathmatch maps for Doom/ Ultimate Doom. Replaces Episode 3. This is my first set of maps, finished back in 1994. I never uploaded it because it was far from perfect. However, lately I have been getting requests for it. There are a lot of deathmatch starts. All weapons except the BFG are available immediately at all starts. Please don't use any of these levels as a base to build your own. I am going to modify them and turn them into a Doom2 set. The Doom version of the files will not be changed anymore. Base : All new levels from scratch Build Time : Why? Editor(s) used : DEU, BSP Known Bugs : None Unknown Bugs : None Disclaimer : I cannot be held liable for anything. ================================================================ Episode information: ================================================================ Single Player : Some maps Cooperative 2-4 Player : No Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes Difficulty Settings : All New Music : Yes New Graphics : No Demos Replaced : None ================================================================ Maps information: ================================================================ Map Title : NOWHERE Episode and Level # : E3M1 Map notes: : Small map, symmetrical 4-way. The only switch is the exit. No monsters. Map Title : SPLIT Episode and Level # : E3M2 Map notes: : Small map, symmetrical 2-way. The fights usually revolve around the central bridge. When teleporting out of the pits, check behind you for plasma weapons. Map Title : ATA Episode and Level # : E3M3 Map notes: : Medium map. The BFG can be gotten once you solve the puzzle. I am not telling how, since the map is fully optimized for single player and I don't want to spoil the fun. Difficulty settings are implemented and playtested. ====================================== Solo notes: ====================================== Cyberdemon alert. He is easy to take once you get him out of his cubby hole. There is a switch on the wall under his nose that lets him out. The trick is to run in, flip the switch, and get out without getting a rocket in the back. If you find yourself stuck and are not sure what to do next, check the map for switches you have missed. If you make a completed demo on UV, please send it to me. :) The exit is where the start is. Just find the switch that opens it. ====================================== Deathmatch notes: ====================================== The lights inside the building blink to alert you when someone else enters it. Map Title : CLEFT Episode and Level # : E3M4 Map notes: : Small map. Has a large room with a cleft along the floor, a dusky stone maze and one area with semi-transparent walls. Fights are usually for the control of the area since it is a good sniping location. Map Title : COLUMNS Episode and Level # : E3M5 Map notes: : Medium map. Resembles E2M8, but has a circular path inside the building. No monsters. Map Title : PLATEAU Episode and Level # : E3M6 Map notes: : Medium map. Has an elevated plateau area and an opposing wall with corridors inside it that are accessible by a zigzaging staircase. To get the BFG. you need to get off the plateau and teleport back to it. You can shortcut to the teleport by hopping over the ledge off an elevation. The map has two exit switches. The one on the right takes you to the secret level. Map Title : RIVER Episode and Level # : E3M7 Map notes: : Medium map. It is a river flowing. ====================================== Solo notes: ====================================== Just follow the riverbed all the way. ====================================== Deathmatch notes: ====================================== Open all the doors, theere are shortcuts to anywhere in the map and very few dead ends. Map Title : CIRCUS Episode and Level # : E3M8 Map notes: : Small map. An eight-column structure in the yard and some corridors inside the wall that face it. No monsters. Map Title : VILLA Episode and Level # : E3M9 Map notes: : Small map. A central room with a moving column that has a BFG on it. Two side rooms and two small outdoor areas. No monsters. * Copyright / Permissions * Please don't use any of these levels as a base to build your own. I am going to modify them and turn them into a Doom2 set.
