=========================================================================== Archive Maintainer : This wad has been released in 1994 on a bbs. It wasn't avaiable on the net ten years later (end of summer 2004). Because of that, i re-release it in a bugfixed version. The email of the uplader is inserted instead of the author's, because google couldn't tell me the email adress of Aaron Flatten. Primary purpose : Single+Coop play / Deathmatch (???) =========================================================================== Title : MOOeD DOOM Filename : mooed.wad Release date : originally 25.07.1994 , re-released 23.09.2004 Author : Aaron Flatten (bugfixed and re-released by Funduke) Email Address : funduke@hotmail.com (It's not the authors e-mail, just the bug-fixer and uploader's) Description : Funny joke-wad, that will give you something to laugh. Pink status bar, new Title-screen, reversed Doom-Logo (MooD instead of DooM), new sounds, music and three levels. Additional Credits to : Every and any credit has to go to the original author: Aaron Flatten =========================================================================== * What is included * New levels : 3 Sounds : Yes Music : Yes Graphics : Yes Dehacked/BEX Patch : No Demos : No (removed in this release, because of outdated version) Other : A modems.txt -file. Difficulty Settings : ? * Construction * Known Bugs : none (crossing fingers... :/) May Not Run With... : ? Revision history : The following problems of the original wad are now fixed in this 2004 -release: * The pink status bar appeared not correct in the original wad. The Arms -section was still grey. This is now fixed by adding the pinked starms -graphic. * One switch did not appear correct. This was fixed by creating and adding sw2s0 (sw2s1 was already there). * The sounds dsbgsit1 and dsswtchn have been corrupted in the original wad. Because of that, they are removed in this release. * The original mooed.bat referred to a file with the name moo!.com, that doesn't exist in the archive. Because of that, the call for the com-file is now removed from the bat-file. * The three demos of the original wad are not in this release, because of the outdated version (1.6). If you are really really really interested, check out demos.zip. Here's a content list of the original mooed.zip (I found it on the level-cd: *DOOMANIA*) with original file dates and sizes: MODEMS TXT 2.706 05.07.94 20:31 MODEMS.TXT MOOED BAT 609 25.07.94 17:29 MOOED.BAT MOOED WAD 1.328.793 20.07.94 18:47 MOOED.WAD Funny trivia : This wad was in a to Doom2 converted version in the *Maximum Doom* -collection, that came with the *Master Levels for Doom2* -cd, published by id-software. If you have that cd, look out for the filename mooed2.wad. But be warned: that version is crappy! * Copyright / Permissions * You MAY distribute this file, provided you include this text file, with no modifications.
