SLUGFEST.TXT ================================================================ Title : SLUGFEST.WAD Author : Gray Creager (May 1996) Email Address : gcreager@scruznet.com Misc. Author Info : blah, blah, blah... who cares anyway? Description : My first Heretic WAD. There are some interesting effects in this game to pay attention to, otherwise you may be sorry. A bloody 3 or 4 player deathmatch WAD. Probably my only Heretic WAD now that Duke3D is out! Additional Credits to : Jim Wiscarson (AKA Bartman) whose bartman series of WADs inspired me to build my own. James Echenique for helping resolve some WinDEU sector building problems on this WAD ================================================================ * Play Information * Episode and Level # : Heretic E1,M1 Single Player : No exit, no monsters. This means that projectile weapons may be adversly affected by the wind. A couple of interesting tactics emerge: 1) Billiard Ball Tactic - try standing next to the center pylon and use the hellstaff to fire almost (but not quite) directly into one of the waterfalls. Step out of the way and watch the fireworks. Your shots start ricocheting all around the room! Aim slightly up to use this tactic against any flying scum (I hate flying opponents) to keep them on their toes. 2) I Can Still Hit You Tactic - Fire projectiles across the water areas and allow the wind to curve their paths. For example, you can "curve" an arrow around a corner and hit someone who's not quite hidden. * Copyright / Permissions * Authors may use this level as a base to build additional levels.
