This scenario includes more enemies than the DOOM II engine can handle. To accomodate this, the last six levels of the scenario use a second sprites and sound wad, as well as a second Dehacked patch. Also, this scenario begins on MAP09, rather than on MAP01. For best results, this scenario should be played with DOOM Legacy . Mac users should use Mac Legacy . To play the first 11 levels (MAP09-MAP19), you must load the following via Legacy's launcher: ARCTIC.WAD ARCTLEV.WAD ARCTGFX1.WAD ARCTIC1.DEH Warp to MAP09 and start playing. When you reach the beginning of the 12th level (MAP20, "Shark Farm"), save your game and quit. Reconnaissance photos have pinpointed the site where it is being built as a u-boat base in a fjord in northern Norway, and although several spies have been dispatched to this location, none of them has been heard from again.
