=============================================================================== Title : Belgarions World 1 Filename : Bel1a.bsp Version : 6th September 1997 Author : Mark Fairbairn Email Address : mfairbairn@charlton.vic.edu.au Misc. Author Info : Quake editing http://www.charlton.vic.edu.au/mark/q/ Description : This is an update to the first released version of the map Bel1 (Deathmatch Only), it was actually finished off a couple of months ago but I just never got around to uploading it till now. Also in this arhive are some screen shots of my next Map 'Belgarions World II' file name will be bel2.zip. This map will be for deathmatch as well as single player. The map is set in a subway, with at least two (at the moment) railway stations, which you may travel inside a train between the two of them. For DM it will be best for at least 3-4 players, probably a bit big for 2 players. NOTE: The screen shots will probably be a little diferent in the released map. Once you have blasted your way through the subway, you need to find your way down into the sewer system. 'Belgarions World II' has many new graphics, some I have created myself, some taken from other sources. Are there any Dr Who fans reading this? My next map 'Belgarions World III', 'bel3.zip' will be set in the world of Dr Who. The map will be based on the Tardis interior and the town of Logopolis. I'd really like to get together with some other people in the creation of this map. What I really need are textures for the Tardis interior, consol panel, tardis walls, walls with vines (for the entropy effect) etc. Objects will need to be created such as, hatstand, consol panel (I have a basic one at the moment), stone bench (remember Dr4 & Adric sitting on it?), wheelchair, and various other objects. It would be great if there were some daleks & cybermen to roam around the Tardis also. If you are interested in creating maps, textures, objects, mdl's, or anything at all, please email. If there are enough people interested then I can supply web space. This version (Bel1a.bsp) has been compiled for GL Quake, (transparent water) with a few other minor changes outlined below; Less rocket launchers (it was a bit of a rocket fest) Quad damage moved to the secret area. Added new secret area. (errr...obviously) Secret area is not a safe place to camp. Lighting is a little darker. Designed for deathmatch, the objective is to get to the very top of the room to gain the advantage over the other players. However getting there will be difficult as you are a rather easy target as you make your way up the very narrow & steep path to the wooden platform WAYYYYYY above the floor level. NOTE: There is NO teleport to the top, you must use the ramp. This is a reasonably well lit level, although there are some dark areas on the floor beneath the computer consols. This level is quite good when used with the Mech Warrior patch, as there is plenty of room to fly around and blast the unfortunates below. This level uses some of the original DOOM textures, including the computer consol texture. Does anyone ever read these .txt files? PLEASE email me if you try this level, I really want to know what you think. Additional Credits to : Masked Formatter & Radaghast for play testing. =============================================================================== * Play Information * Game : Quake Single Player : No Cooperative : No Deathmatch : Yes, 8 dm starts Difficulty Settings : No New Sounds : No New Graphics : No Demos Replaced : No Compiled for GLQUAKE : YES!
