*********** WALNUT CREEK OP: THIS IS A QUAKE1 DEATHMATCH ONLY LEVEL ********** ============================================================================== Title : DeathMatch Arena #9 Filename : DMA9.BSP Author : Carlos Sisí Email Address : sisi@iname.com Other levels by author : DMA1 trough DMA10, and GLDMA1 (all available in Walnut Creek ftp.cdrom.com site) Description : The Deathmatch arenas serie has been lacking of one kind of level particularly used though the Quake community over the web -- metal. Here is my point of view. This level has 3 secret areas and 1 trap, much in the feeling of the DMA serie. There are no shooting-at-walls-like-a-moron kind of secret, but more "be vigilant" ones... jump to inusual places and lurk behind lifts (hint) to discover then. I am proud of one particular spot... very "Eschellent", i might say. Now download it or else! :-) Additional Credits to : Antonio Hilazos - For hosting the DMA serie in his QW server (hellelujah!) Jose Luis Cebrián - *waves!* Id Software - Quake is THE game, doesn´t it? Omicron bots - I throw apart the reaper bots when i saw these things -- they kick ass! Ben Morris - Oooh we´re not worthy! Walnut Creek - Thank you for hosting! _DarkMan_, Smint and Fragger - Playtesting. A bunch of lamers ;-) ============================================================================== * Play Information * Single Player : No Cooperative 2-8 Player : No Quakematch 2-16 Player : YES (4-8 players recommended) New Sounds : No New Textures : No * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Editor(s) used : Worldcraft Known Bugs : Apparently there is one spot in this level where you see a minor glatch in the floor when using GL-Quake under a 3dfx card. I, myself, uses a PowerVR PCX/2 based card and i found nothing wrong at 800x600x24bpp so perhaps it´s a 3dfx card problem. The prob does not appear by using software at all. Thanks to _DarkMan_ for telling me that. (This does not affect level speed) * Copyright / Permissions * Authors MAY use this level as a base to build additional levels, concatenations, or otherwise. You may also do derivative works of this level, just tell me so and give me credits. I am providing the .MAP source by e-mail if u ask for it.
