6/30/97 ================================================================ Title : Legba's Lost City o' Happiness Filename : Legba1 Author : Matt (Legba) Email Address : legba@best.com Description : kandybase inspired deathmatch level (with a twist of lime) Additional Credits to : Basic thank you shit, id, Ben Morris (I'll buy Worldcraft the day you add vertex manipulation), the guy that made the pipe prefabs for worldcraft (you know who you are, and no one else cares) Oh yeah, and Kandyman, who made Kandybase, which inspired me to make this. ================================================================ * Play Information * Single Player : No Cooperative : No Deathmatch (2-16) : Yes (no more than about 6 recommended, 10 starts) Difficulty Settings : No New Sounds : No New Graphics : No New Music : No Demos Replaced : None * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Editor(s) used : Worldcraft Known Bugs : None Build Time : Construction 30 hours. Compiling 1 hour. * Other Info * This is my first real level editing beyond a square room full of weapons, I'm happy enough with it to put it on ftp.cdrom.com, but I know it has some big downsides, but it's still better than most of the crap I get off of ftp.cdrom.com.... the r_speeds suck. what can I say, it really isn't intended for anymore than 2 players, but it can handle maybe 6 before turning into a blood bath. It's a big square building (Major fuckup #1) with a bunch of few overlapping catwalks and elevators and stairs(Major fuckup #2) And the lighting is far from professional. It was inspired by Kandybase, by far the coolest user made level I've played so far. * Copyright Bullshit * If you actually want to distribute this on a CD for money, not only are you stupid as hell, you'll also have to get my permission. Well, I guess you don't have to, technically, but if you don't, I reserve the right to kick your ass and steal your car. I might even sue you, because doing something like that would hurt my feelings pretty bad. And damnit, my mental health is pretty damn costly. But feel free to give this away to people you meet on the streets for free. In fact, I encourage you to do so. Any other form of transfer, whether electronic, printed versions of the raw map file, or a diskette by carrier pigeon, is perfectly cool with me. I hope one of you bastards out there in Quake land likes it, and if you don't like it, Tell me why, so my next level is better than this one. Please? legba@best.com
