================================================================ Title : The Big Bad Place Date : Jun 20, 1998 Filename : Pm4.bsp Author : Peter Markström Nick : PM Email Address : peter_markstrom@earthling.net Home Page : And add to the ever growing number of useless pages on the net? Nope. Description : What that excellent level Dm4 would look and play like if the player character in Quake had stopped growing while in kindergarten. =) Seriously, this level is a replica of Dm4, only scaled up to twice the original size in all three dimensions. The textures are also scaled to fit the new brushes without "repeating". Credits : id Software, for everything from Doom to Quake 2. Ben Morris for Worldcraft. ================================================================ * Play Information * Single Player : Look/goof around Cooperative : No Deathmatch : 6 starts, exactly like Dm4. Same placement and spawnorder. Difficulty Settings : No New Sounds : No New Graphics : No New Music : No Demos Replaced : None * Construction * Based on : Dm4 (The Bad Place) by American McGee of id Software. Editor used : Worldcraft Known Bugs : None, though I've only tested the level in software Quake. Build Time : About 3 hours for the achitecture, a hour or so of tweaking and enlarging/aligning textures and two or three hours to get the lighting looking OK. Textures used : The ones used in Dm4 Compile machine : P225MMX with 64Mb of RAM QBSP Time : ~30 sec Light Time (extra) : ~90 sec VIS Time (level 4) : ~30 sec Brushes : 709 * Notes * I don't really know what type of game this level is best suited for. Try some form of teamplay, or maybe Rocket Arena. Messing with the gravity to allow for higher rocketjumps might prove entertaining too. Want the source? Email me and I'll send it to you... _IF_ you're actually planning to do someting productive with it. * Copyright / Permissions * This level can be freely distributed by electronic media as long as no money is charged for it, and this textfile is included.
