3/04/97 ================================================================ Title : Gormenghast Village Filename : qakula2.bsp Author : Timothy R. Jervis Email Address : kerrow@agt.net Misc. Author Info : Level Designer and Artist Creator of the Doom2 Goblin series Creator of the Quake levels:Tomb of Ra (Ra),Rameses (Ram), Gormenghast Castle (Gormen),Hall of Gorre (Gorre), Stargate (Stargate), Qakula's Castle (Qakula). Gormen, Gorre and Qakula have all made the Only the Best DeathMatch page at some time (www.rural.net.au /~huda/deathmch.html) Member of The Wheel of Time Quake TC team as level designer and structural engineer (www.abraxis.com/raven) Description : I have endeavoured to create the open yet meandering ambience of a medieval village. In so doing, I have employed line of sight in order to produce an interesting skyline. It is a difficult task to avoid flat looking "walls" bounding open levels with an equally boring flat skyline. I have employed an interesting collection of roof lines to achieve the desired effect. At the same time, I have created the feel of streets that wander up and down. You'll find some other novel and interesting effects. Go look at the sea. Additional Credits to : Everybody at id. And to Ben Morris and Worldcraft. I can't thank these people enough for enabling intelligent design and creation with the tools they provide. Thanks go to the team at Wheel of Time Quake TC - they gave this level a really good review. ================================================================ * Play Information * Single Player : No, unless you like just rambling around in some picturesque surroundings Cooperative : No Deathmatch : Yes Difficulty Settings : No New Sounds : No New Graphics : Yes, some from WOTQ (thanx) Demos Replaced : None * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Build time : A week or two of evenings/weekends qbsp : light-extra : vis-level4 : About 30 mins on a P200/32mb Editor used : Worldcraft Known Bugs : none Be sure to check out these web pages: Wheel of Time Quake: www.abraxis.com/raven Go look at the pages and say hi to Ludo and everyone else on the team - great guys * Copyright / Permissions * You MAY distribute this bsp, provided you include this file, with no modifications.
