Monsters: New .mdls from scratch put on top of existing monster AI. ================================================================ * Comments * There was so little response to my previous TC effort jumptest that I decided to do one that had ordinary game play and was just for fun. ================================================================ * How to use * EASY WAY: Unzip atlantis.zip preserving the directory structure. Copy the resulting atlantis folder into your Quake folder ( cut and paste may be your best approach ). Go into the Atlantis folder ( that is now in your Quake folder ) and Double click on AtlntsBt.bat. ( The icon has a gear on it ). This should put you into the level at normal difficulty setting. ( AtlntsBt.bat is a MS DOS batch file that you can open and modify with any text editor, even notepad ) OTHER WAY: In your Quake folder make a new folder named Atlantis. Inside the new Atlantis folder make another folder named Maps, then put the unzipped file atlantis.bsp into that folder ( Maps ). It should look something like this: C:\Quake\Atlantis\Maps\atlantis.bsp Then go into the Atlantis folder and make a new folder named Progs. Copy into the Progs folder the files Enforcer.mdl, h_mega.MDL, demon.MDL, h_demon.MDL and laser.MDL. It should look something like this: C:\Quake\Atlantis\Progs\Enforcer.mdl. Then go into the Atlantis folder and make a new folder named Sound. Go into the Sound folder and make another new folder named Enforcer. Copy into the Enforcer folder all the files with the .wav extension. Sexdrstf = skins to make the SexDroid look like several different characters. JumpTest = a level built around jumping puzzles with all new background textures. SlipComp = a level with a dark industrial theme. ================================================================ ================================================================ *** SPOILER ALERT *** * Walk through * Let the BiteMes see you then hide in the armored personnel carrier and let them kill each other only shoot the last one alive (save ammo, there isn't much in hard). Jump into the water ignoring the sexdroids. Swim against the right wall and find the secret area. Use the invisibility to get past the well room. Try to get the sexdroids and BiteMes at the temple to fight each other. Descend the ramps. Hit the rusty section of the half buried door with your ax to open it. Find the lightning gun in the dark corner. Get the key and get out of the room as fast as you can using the lightning gun to clear your path. Go back to the well room via the temple. Clear the well room from above the ladder. Go to the kings crypt. Get the quad damage from the cracked niche. Get the key and exit the room clearing your path with the quaded lightning gun. clear the well room again before the quad fades. Open the temple. Push the red glyph at the end of the wooden walkway. Exit through the kings coffin.
