When quake2 came out and : I saw all of the remakes popping up I never saw a true remake of : dm4, so here ya go! Now go grab a fucking railgun and start : Gibbing! Additional Credits to : ID software, Serberus for helping me with tons of shit and to Bobafett for his inspiration! Yeah Right! ================================================================ * Play Information * Single Player : No. Deathmatch : Yes, 2-4 players. (3 people is best) Difficulty Settings : No. * Construction * Base : Conversion. some Q2 textures and some quake textures! Editor(s) used : Worldcraft Known Bugs : The one light by the red armor flickers at a certain distance then goes back to normal. It doesnt hurt anything, just a graphical error. I couldnt figure out how to fix it. Even full vised the map a few times as well, but to no avail :( If anybody knows how to fix it, please email me :) Build Time : Few days. compiled it about 10 times to get the lighting right Textures used : Some quake2 textures and also some quake1 textures. " see other info" Compile machine : Pentium II 300 with 160 megs QBSP Time : 10 seconds QVIS Time (-level 4) : 37 seconds QRAD Time (-extra) : 138 seconds Brushes : 660 Entities : 174 * Other Info * 1) This level is in a pak file instead of just sending the textures with it in a folder. You know the deal rename the pak to whatever number is next and throw it in the baseq2 dir. Then type map q1dm4 in the console. I also chose to use a special made sky env cause i think the normal ones with quake2 suck :) If anybody has any trouble at all with this map or has comments etc. please feel free to email me. 2) I also plan to do a few of the other quake maps!
