First off, this is based ROUGHLY on my house, but I took out 4 of the bathrooms, 2 rooms from upstairs, the breakfast room, I changed the guest bathroom into an exit, and I also took out the garage. The only furniture I put in was the tall lamp and desk in the office (by the front door). I changed a bunch of other shit too, in order to make it more "Quakish" (ex. I took the walls/railing off the upstairs balchonys so you can shoot grenades down better). Unless I recieve a LOT of mail, and my map is played on a LOT of servers, you can forget me updating this map. (That's my little plea for attention). If you have problems with flashing lights (I think it's called epilepsy or something like that) DON'T EVEN WATCH THIS MAP BE PLAYED. I've got colored strobe lights, throbbing lights, flashing lights, ect. Yea, this maps got a BFG. Usually, any map with a BFG sucks because of the BFG. Well, this map is so small, and the BFG is so difficult to get (expecially if you have a high ping), and the spot is so exposed, that I don't think it ruins the map. You have to get the gun agian every time you want more ammo, so the gun itself is the only ammo in the level. If some smartass just camps on the little platform that holds upt the gun, just get the chainguns that are under the platform, go up the stairs, and drill his ass with lead until he either dies or jumps off the platform. I've NEVER had a chance to test this map on the internet. Seeing how it's only a multi-player map, this posed a problem. Luckily, Ryan Feltrin (aka Ridah) made some groovey bots that can dynamically learn levels. Thanks to his bots, I was able to test how th map would work out. The bots are actually responsible for me changing some things: 1. I origionally had all the spawn spots outside. Unfortunatly, the second the bots see each other, they start fighting. For that reason, none of them ever came into the fortress. So, I moved all the spawn spots into the fortress, and after some testing like that, I decided to leave them there. 2. When I started, the map had ONLY grenade launchers. I relized how much this would suck to the people on the first floor. No one would come inside. I stuffed in a DB shotgun, 3 chainguns, a rocket launcher, even a big ass BFG10k. 3. You'll notice that my map has a TON of good sniping points. I thought of putting a rail cannon on the second level, but after giving it some thought, I relized that this would ruin the level for people like me with high pings. 4. In the beginning, the front door (the one into the big area with stairs and a chandalier) was the only door. I soon relized after an hour or two with the bots, that it was simply to damn hard to get in. So, I stuck 2 more doors to the building. 5. The outside was so freaking dark, that whenever I fought with the bots outside, I'd often get telefreagged when I got cornered (the spawn spots outside are in the corners). So, I made the ones outside float 3 feet off the ground, so you can't accidently step on them. So special thanks go to Ridah, because with out his bots, my level wouldn't be half of what it is now. Enjoy the level, and mail me your opinion. (PLEASE!) * Copyright / Permissions * Hell, since I'm just some looser with good computer skills trying to get some attention, do whatever you want with this map.
