=============================================================================== Title : Let's Kick Ass Filename : Kick_Ass.BSP Version : 28/10/98 Author : Bexley Email Address : it varies ICQ : Bexley Description : Finally a completed map. Well it's a deathmatch map designed for about 5 or 6 players. It's heavy on the weapons, heavy on the armour and pretty heavy on the health. Oh, it's also got the Power Shield, power Screen, bandolier, quad and invun. Basically I tried to design a nice simple map that runs fast and plays a good game. Lotsa coloured lighting for GL cards, tried to make it look good in software too. What's with the name? Additional Credits to : id, Worldcraft =============================================================================== * Play Information * Game : Quake 2 Single Player : Kinda, 22 monsters, but really pointless Cooperative : No Deathmatch : Yes, bout 6 Dm points Difficulty Settings : Yeah think i changed one for something in single player New Sounds : Yes, 1 New Graphics : No Demos Replaced : No * Construction * Base : new map Build Time : About a week total ---- qbsp3 ---- 12 seconds elapsed ---- vis ---- 166 portalclusters 327 numportals Average clusters visible: 29 Average clusters hearable: 86 visdatasize:7122 compressed from 7968 7.0 seconds elapsed ----- Radiosity ---- extrasamples = true 467 seconds elapsed Editor(s) used : Worldcraft Known Bugs : one texture error because QBSP3 merges two faces with different textures together - it is ok in the .map file, but after a dozen attempts to get it right in the .bsp as well I gave up. * How to use this level * Simply extract the Archive into your Quake2 folder(make sure use foldernames is checked) So Kick_Ass.Bsp goes into /baseq2/maps and Kickass.wav goes into /baseq2/sound In Quake2, bring up the console and type in "map Kick_Ass". or maybe "deathmatch 1 map Kick_Ass" Please distribute this map, I'd love to know my level is being used. If you do, give em the text file aswell :) . You are NOT allowed to commercially exploit this level, i.e. put it on a CD or any other electronic medium that is sold for money without my explicit permission!
