================================================================================================= Title : The Lost Mines Filename : Lmines.bsp Author : Juan Jose Galvez Email Adress : jegalvez@arrakis.es. Send comments please!!! Description : Ok, so this is my second map for Quake II. First of all, I've tried to : make a somewhat big, playable level. I don't really like the typical : Quake2 levels, with small dark corridors and very few open zones. : So mine has a lot. This may slow down the game but I've tried not to. : Anyway, I still haven't got the chance to try it with lots of people, : just those stupid bots. But I suppose a game with 8 or more players : should go fine. A two or three player game is also quite fun nonetheless. : Ok...the features. The map has a big open zone with a bridge and a : cable thingy, a room with a special trap :), a mine with machines : and stuff, tunels, a lava river, a waterfall, some secrets, etc. But if : you really wanna know just play the level. : *Note* I've made a version for Painrift but I don't think I'll publish : it (just use it for myself). Anyways, it's better than this one since : you can fry someone when he's in the lake (with the maelstrom) :), the : seekers are also perfect in open zones (especially the missiles). You : can hang from the mountain walls, the bridge can be a good place to put : the stardust hehehe, and some other things... : So if anyone wants the new version just ask. Additional Credits to : All of the people at id Software for making such a great game and those who have helped me in the final aspects of the level. Tim Wright for ArghRAD (neat effects) and the guy who made Bsp possible. ================================================================================================ ============ Installation ============ Unzip with "use folder name" option to the quake2 directory.
