I forgot to include the player.mdl in the 1st relese.. How lame can I get? .. well.. I was sleepy :) But here it is.. and sorry again :) This patch will will do add the following stuff: - Multiskin with 35 skins! Impulse 200 to change skin forwards and 201 backwards. - You can now shoot flares via impulse 13. - You can throw a packpack with some ammo with impulse 20. - Make a hologram with impulse 50. - When you get the pentagram of protection you will change into a fiend. - Impulse 254 is the fiend cheat. - Moved the impulse 9 cheat to impulse 12. - Laser gun at impulse 9, with new graphics. Someone ought to make a model for this :) - Moved both shotguns to the same key (2).. you can access them by pressing the same key again. - Put the grenade and nailbomb launchers at impulse 6.. press it again to switch between. - Put the rocket launcher and homing missiles together on impulse 7.. press it again to switch. - Enhanced teamplay! Setting teamplay to -1 will cause players to loose frags when they kill a friend, and if you set it to something more, like -10 then you will loose 10 frags for killing a friend. If you set teamplay to 100 you will explode when you kill a friend. If you set teamplay to -100 and kill a friend you will die AND loose 1 frag. No player gets a kill for a telefrag. - Zombies on the walls are now gibbable. - Splat sound when axe hits meat. - You start out with the laser and pipebomb launcher as defauly, I did this because there are no levels that directly use them.. Changes since v. 1.2: - Fixed a stupid bug that allowed you to get the double barelled shotgun when you didn't have it. - Added a pipebomb launcher with new graphics (just to discern it) at impulse 3. press it again and you trigger them. - Made some different graphics for the pipe bombs, just to discern it from pipebombs. - New graphics for the laser gun. - New graphics for the Enforcer. - Now shotgun and supershotgun emit empty shell cases. New since v. 1.3: - Added player footstep sounds, Brett "Vuh" Wagner . - Weapons can now teleport through teleporters. Nail Gun, Super Nail Gun, Grenade Launcher, and Rocket Launcher can be teleported. - MOTD kinda stuff. (Thanks Wedge and NightStalker!) - Reduced skins from 48 to 35 to save some memory. People were having problems loading this patch :) - Probably something more Im forgetting right now.. List of all skins in skins.txt that is in this archieve. How to Install the Modification ------------------------------- Make a directory in your Quake directory called skarmod. Then copy the pak0.pak into that directory. Next run quake with -game skarmod. Bind keys to impulses 9, 13, 20, 50, 200 and 201. Go gib something! If you want to compile the QuakeC code you got to get qccdos from any good Quake ftp site and have at least basic knowledge of QuakeC. NOTE: If you are having problems running this patch in Win95.. or maybe dos.. its probably because of the size of the player.mdl in pak0.pak.. but if you just increase the memory with (in win95): quake -game skarmod -winmem -winlock. I hope that helps. Technical Details ----------------- This mod is almost completely done. One thing that is bugging me is that I've not yet found a way to have two models at the same impulse key.. like both the shotgun models at impulse 2. One bug I really got to fix is that when you start, its like you have the quad power-up.. which you don't.. but the icon is there, the screen goes grey and the guy's face gets that nasty look... if someone got a solution to this PLEASE email me :) Soon I will add more interesting stuff to this .qc mod and I will try to update it regularly.
