Changes none Server Directions THE DEATHMATCH CONSOLE VARIABLE MUST BE SET TO 3 TO PLAY HEAD HUNTERS!!! Example: At the console type deathmatch 3 and press return. Now start map. Example: From the command line type: quake -game cth +deathmatch 3 +map e1m2 where cth is the directory which contains the progs.dat file. Objective Players get frags only by gibbing other players and bringing their bloody stump of a head to a central alter. Scoring Frags are rewarded for the number of heads brought to the alter at one time. One head is worth one frag. Two heads at one time are worth 3 frags(1+2) Three heads are worth 6 frags (1+2+3)...and so on. Hoard many heads before scoring and get big points. But dont get killed or you loose all your heads and someone else gets them. Heads left lying too long self destruct. No frags are rewarded for killing others unless you return their head. The Alter The alter can be recognized by its magic fountain effect and is always located at the info_player_start for the level (single player start spot). All levels have one. When heads are brought to the alter they begin to pile up. The pile gets bigger and bigger for the entire game. If too many heads are on the alter then heads begin getting randomly removed. Being a Head Begin a head can be a great ride. When you get killed and another player picks you up you are carried under his arm to the alter. While being carried you can look around all you want just like any good head would do. Even enjoy the view from the alter can be quite good unless you are buried in a pile of heads. Seeing a Head Heads are thrown quite a way after a gibbing. Don't loose sight of that noggin' or you may never find it. Once you grab the head you stick it on your belt. If you are wondering if you have a head or not, just glance down. Seeing a player with a head on his belt is quite a treat. Is it still bleeding? Current Stage Beta. There are no crashing bugs that I know of. Sometimes a head will get thrown clean out of the level. That kinda sucks and needs some work. Otherwise its tight. Not written for Quake World. I don't know how to do this. Future Plans Smaller head model. Levels designed for Head Hunters. HELP!!!! This has been played alot on a LAN. Never on the internet. I also need some help with future plans including level design, quake world help, beta testing, web page help. You guys are the experts on this stuff.
