Radar Update by Jony A Quake v1.08 Addon AUTHOR: You can contact me at trevalayan@hotmail.com with comments, your own PAK or QuakeC programming questions and solutions. WHAT IS IT: Radar Update is an update to Radar by (Francesco Ferrara, frank@aerre.it). I claim in no way to be the original author or the creator of this PAK. As I said, this is purely an update. UPDATED: The original Radar had the fault it required the user enter a command into the console before it worked, this command was not specified in the help file and therefore would not work unless you examined the source code and figured. I have simple removed this a distributed it in a more user friendly manner. INSTALLATION: Make a directory within your Quake directory named 'radar'. Copy the Progs.dat file into this directory. Make a directory within your Radar called 'sound'. Copy the radar.wav file into this directory. Run Quake with the command line: Quake -game radar or use Quake Launcher. EXAMPLE: Your Quake Directory: C:\Games\Quake Create Directory: C:\Games\Quake\Radar Copy Progs.dat: C:\Games\Quake\Radar\Progs.dat Create Directory: C:\Games\Quake\Radar\Sound Copy Record.wav: C:\Games\Quake\Radar\Sound\Radar.wav Run: C:\Games\Quake\Quake.exe -game radar USE: Radar will work automatically and cannot be turned off. Radar makes a beep sound when a monster, or player is close by, the sound gets closer and closer as the object closes in. KNOWN BUGS: If you have any other bugs or suggestions, please send them to trevalayan@hotmail.com.
