Also some new cosmetic stuff, like when you get quad, pent, teleport, shoot rocket, use lgun while quaded ;) generally makes quake look cool the rocket deal now has lotsa animation. I am quite happy with this patch now. First, i thought the jumping was kinda weak because it didn't use a stair climbing catch when in the air like DOOM and every other ray caster... Also i thought it would be so cool to knock people around with rockets.. Long description ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Well I was really liked the grappling hook that was on the Underground Clan server, it was a supplement to jumping, not a mass cheap hook like the morning star patch. I couldn't coax the guy to give me the source to the hookand he soon changed it to act differently. They also changed the impulses to hide 'em from me. I guess they were tired of me hopping on to their server and shaming their clan ;). Oh well, I had to look for a similar hook, and Anthony Spataro's was the closest aproxamation. So I used it and added in my own rocket code to produce my first patch. Using the grappling hook in gameplay is pretty easy. I've included an Autoexec.cfg file to make it's use easy. Hold down the "S" key as long as you want the hook out. If an obstacle gets between you and the hook, it will break. Edit the autoexec.cfg to change how it is used.
