I would love to hear feedback on whether or not you liked them and why. If you review them please send me some mail so I can check out what you had to say. I tried to make some fun professional looking maps that concentrated on the single player aspect of quake2. I hope you enjoy them. * Story * Operation Saturation Point The Strogg have been developing a untraceable chemical solution that they wish to put into earths water supply to poison its people. The chemical's development has been worked on in a secret installation inside a mountain for some months now. Our informants have told us that the chemical is nearing completion and all the technical info about it is stored in a mainframe in the lower section of the mountain base. A small team of 3 marines was sent in to investigate and were never heard from again. They are presumed dead. Your job is to go in and find a way into the mountain base, then seek out the lower lab level, shut down the main pumping system, and then destroy the mainframe computer located there. Good luck. *IMPORTANT* The bug that I was referring to above is very weird and has made me crazy for days on end. It seems sometimes when you save your game on the third map the sounds go crazy, meaning weird sounds appear at the wrong time. I have no idea what is causing this and it doesn't seem to happen every time. If it happens you will notice right in the beginning. The only way around it I have found is that if you use the default save game that q2 automatically makes, the problem goes away. I have tried my best to trace this down but numerous people have told me it happened to them in the regular q2 levels so I decided to release them anyway. I am guessing it has something to do with a sound buffer but I am not sure if it is my fault or not. If you know what causes this then feel free to email me so I can fix the problem. *Running these maps * Just unzip the contents of this file into your quake2\baseq2\maps dir then bring down the console and type map sp1f, have fun * Copyright / Permissions * Authors may NOT use this level as a base to build additional levels.
