I did not plan to make any dm level for Q2, I even doing now Q1 sp maps. But, once upon a time [two days ago] I saw at Multiplayer Quake that they has reviewed my old Q2 dm map Rugged [released summer '98]. And that pushed me to blow the dust off from the lost source for Compass. I didn't found final source for Compass, but half made. [Final source was vanished by the time =] Besides, I tired a bit by Quake 1 leveldesign, and I wanted to change profile of work for some time [just for two days =]. And as a result you see this map. There are tons of bugs fixed, lightning improved, item placement changed and many other issues fixed and changed. Long time ago I wanted to fix these issues but there wasn't any impulse to do this. And now it happened. I hope you enjoy it. ·· S T O R Y ·· -Why the hell the compass is rotating? Are you dork? Do you know that compass must be directed to the North Pole? -Hey, hey! Chill out man! Take a look at the sky. See it? It is rotating too! Got it? -Umm, do you want to say that whole this Ferric Base is rotating? -Yeah, you got it. This base is placed near Stroggos on 376km from the surface, so magnetic field is working here yet. -Heh, sounds weird. But why it is rotating? -Don't ask too many questions, man! Just play. -Okay, lets get some frags! -Sure. . . . . -Hey, why the hell here is so high r_speeds? -You again! Be more tolerable, this is an old map, so don't blame the author. -Okay. I will switch to lower res better. Whoops!
