BFG Man cannot pick up any items... health regenerates at 2 units per second, & ammo regenerates at 1 unit per second (can be change by the server). -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Info:- New Server Code: YES New Client Code: YES New UI Code: YES New Graphics: NO (no need) New Sounds: YES (Start Screen) New Maps: NO New Cinimatics: NO (possibly a logo once the cinimatic compiler is released) New Demos: NO Quake 3 Version: 3.17 Game Modes Supported: FFA (with bots) Time taken to fully build mod: About a week on and off Other Cool Stuff:- - Awards are now shown on scoreboard - Person who is it is shown on scoreboard - Person who is it has a tag above their head - Can be played with bots (AI works properly) - Server can select what gun the person who is it has -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Installation:- - Unzip the distribution file into your Quake 3 Dir making sure you preserve folder names. - Select Mods, then BFG Tag Version 2.0 - Start a server like usual -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Server Info:- The server may change the following values in addition to the normal settings g_healthPerSec (Default: 2) this is how many health points regenerate per second for the person who is it. g_ammoPerSec (Default: 1) like health... this sets how many BFG cells will regenerate per second for the person that is it. g_maxAmmoForIt (Default: 50) This sets the maximum allowed ammo for the person who is it. g_armorPerSec (Default: 0) this is how many armor points regenerate per second for the person who is it. g_maxArmorForIt (Default: 0) Sets how much armor the person who is it can have g_allowPowerupsForIt (Default: 0) Boolean value for allowing the person who is it to pickup powerups & items g_allowArmorForIt (Default: 0) Boolean value for allowing the person who is it to pickup armor g_allowHealth (Default: 0) Boolean value for allowing the person who is it to pickup health g_scoreWhileIt (Default: 1) This sets the score per kill while it g_scoreForKillingIt (Default: 0) This sets the score you receive when you kill the person who is it. If you are playing less than 2 other players... leave this at 0... with 3 or more people hunting one person at the same time, it's luck who actually kills "it". g_scoreForKillingOther (Default: -1) This sets the score for when you kill somebody who isn't it. g_scoreForKillingSelf (Default: -1) This sets the score for when you kill yourself, fall in lava, hellfog, void, squashed... etc There are some included .cfg files for various different styles of play (inside pak0.pk3). advantage.cfg - Normal FFA play, person who is it, has a major advantage, you can kill people who aren't it. default.cfg - default settings harsh.cfg - Do NOT under any circumstance kill a person who isn't it nosuicide.cfg - Don't kill yourself or else you loose HEAPS of points -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Bug List:- - If a bot who is it runs out of ammo, they will try to change weapon... harmless bug -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Future Additions:- None at the moment -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Disclaimer:- I'm not responsible for any damage done to anything :-) I have not included any code which can access files, network connections etc... all code only effects the gameplay.
